We have been so very busy stocking up on new and unique toys for you to choose from so please make sure you come say hi at the Kris Kringle Markets, Northcote Town Hall, Thursday nights 5.30-10pm for the next four weeks.
Also, we are getting very excited and a little nervous about our first ever Mathilda’s Market. Please come and visit our stall at the Caulfield Racecourse, Station Street, Caulfield. Free parking all day! on Sunday 27th November, from 9am to 1pm. Entry is free. With plenty of stalls, yummy food and kids’ entertainment on offer, Mathilda’s Market is undoubtedly Melbourne’s finest shopping destination for our littlies. I am very pleased to announce that Chuckles Designs will be at our first ever Mathilda’s Market. We are very excited! It is the christmas market held at Caulfield Racecourse on November 27th. We will keep you informed as we get closer to the date. Grandma Chuckles and I are doing something ‘Chuckles’ related every day to make sure we have plenty of new and wonderful stock to bring to the market.
For your immediate Chuckles needs, we will be at High Noon Festival this Sunday, September 18 from 10am till 6pm so get yourselves down to the festival and remember to drop in to the town hall to visit us stallholders. We will also be at the upcoming Sisters Market on Grand Final day so remember to come and say hello before you hit the Grand Final Festivities.
Lastly, check out my most recent mini monkey. I just finished and haven’t decided whether I can part with it, he is so teeny tiny he fits in the palm of my hand…awwww

High Noon Festival is approaching fast. Grandma Chuckles and I will be at the Northcote Town Hall market next Sunday (sept 18) from 10am-6pm as a part of the High Street festival come-back. A few weeks later we will be at the Sisters Market in Brunswick and many mini monkeys will soon be making their journey to the Little Shop of Handmade in Carnegie. The first little vintage scotty dog made by Grandma Chuckles has already been adopted by my darling Puddin’ baby, James. He loves that dog sooooo much, walking around hugging and kissing it…”dog, dog, dog, dog, dog, dog, dog, dog.”
I have quite a lot of monkeys stuffed and ready to sew and a fair amount already in stock so please email to place any orders or come visit at High Noon next weekend. Will post some pictures when I finish the new batch. We are also planning a big change in the presentation of our market stalls, however I am having trouble getting my hands on two hat/coat stands…so if you know of any I would love to hear about them! Meanwhile, I will post some pictures of my lovely children just because I think they are wonderful.

Look how far we’ve come…2 wonderful years of Charlie Rae
Well, it seems like yesterday that we met the lovely Charlie but on May 13, 2010, my gorgeous little girl will be turning 2. Officially a big girl! Not only is she speaking in full conversation mode, 7 word sentences and doing everything she can all on her own, she has hit the 50th percentile for height for her real age and the 10th percentile for weight. She’ll always be tiny charlie to us but we are so proud of all of her achievements and love every little thing about her. Happy birthday beautiful chuckles girl.
I am currently 28 weeks pregnant. In fact, tomorrow I will be 28 weeks, 4 days pregnant…the exact day that our beautiful Charlie arrived in our lives. Baby boy is bigger than Charlie was already and I have had my steroid shots to mature his lungs so we are feeling very good about a better outcome (not that charlie was not a perfect outcome obviously!) this time around.
On the monkey front, I have been very, very slack but have a reasonable amount in stock if you need to make a purchase. I dragged my stuffing out today and will endeavour to get some newbies into the monkey barrel before the end of the week. Grandma Chuckles is relaxing in sunny Thailand with Poppy Chuckles so nothing new being produced from her neck of the woods either. We will be at the Brunswick Sisters’ Market in June and hopefully the Winter Artisans Markets at Northcote Town Hall throughout June and July. Hopefully, I will be in attendance with one ginormous baby bump to say hello to all of our visitors.

Markets coming soon; Midsumma Rainbow Market at Northcote Town Hall, Jan 30 and Sisters Market, Brunswick Town Hall, Feb 6. See you there!

After a crazy Christmas market season and a self-enforced hiatus from monkey making I am getting ready for the new year. Back to making a monkey a day from now and after filling a few orders we’ll be getting ready for a new season of markets. Our first one is the Midsumma Festival at Northcote Town Hall, January 30 and the following Saturday, Feb 6, at the Sisters Market, Brunswick Town Hall. Micro monkeys were a big hit and will definitely be staying on stock list. Thanks everyone for your support in our first year of business and we hope to help you again in 2010!

We want to thank all of you who visited our many chrissy markets to either chat or buy gifts. We are now very low on stock and will have a busy, busy January replenishing with new socks, patterns and fabrics.
The most satisfying part of our success is that we have raised over $150 dollars to donate to the Mercy Breastmilk Bank, due to open in 2010. We will up that to $200 and I hope that many of you are able to make donations also. To find out how to donate, visit the Mercy Breastmilk Bank Website
Stay tuned for new stock and make your orders online by emailing Jen at chucklesdesigns@gmail.com
Also, drop into Mandrake and Willow in Yarraville or The Little Shop of… in Carnegie to get your Chuckles goodies and many more vintage or handcrafted chrissy goodies.
